CSTAR has locations at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois and Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, Illinois. CSTAR was created in 2003 by John Vozenilek, MD with the support of the Division of Emergency Medicine at NorthShore University HealthSystem, led by Jeffrey Graff, MD, Jorge del Castillo, MD, and Morris Kharasch, MD.

The Center’s mission was implemented by Dr. Kharasch and Dr. Ernest Wang along with a dedicated team of educators from the Division of Emergency Medicine. Pamela Aitchison, RN has been CSTAR’s Clinical Coordinator since it’s inception. We provide multi-disciplinary high-fidelity medical simulation training experiences to over 1,500 practitioners of all levels annually.
